Lead Pastor/Elder - Ricardo Cardenas

Ricardo Cardenas was born and raised in Denver. He serves as a pastor/elder at Calvary Commerce City, and he is also the branch manager at Anythink Library - Commerce City. He and his wife Molly have four sweet kiddos. Ricardo received his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies from North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota (2013), and his Master of Divinity from Denver Seminary (2016). He is currently pursuing Ph.D. studies through Union Theological College (Belfast).

During his final year of seminary, Ricardo connected with the Calvary Family of Churches and began dreaming about planting a church in the north Denver area. During this season, the Lord also orchestrated a path for Ricardo to become manager at a public library in south Commerce City. It was also during this time that God made it clear that he was calling the Cardenas family to start a new church in a part of the city that has historically been overlooked. Ricardo and Molly are grateful for their many years of being trained and cared for by their sending church Calvary Wellspring (and previously Calvary Denver), and they look forward to the day that Jesus would be made non-ignorable in Commerce City. 

Outside of ministry, Ricardo enjoys reading good books, watching baseball, and spending time with his family.
